The Thatched Tavern is located on a traditional street corner that can be easily accessed via the main road in Reddish. Set in the heart of a popular residential area and located near shops, the pub is very popular with locals. Reddish is an area in Metropolitan Brough of Stockport, Greater Manchester 4.6 miles south-east of Manchester City Centre. There are good local bus transport links and the pub is within easy driving distance to the busy M60 motorway.

Pub Layout

The pub has two entrances, one from the front and one to the side serving a traditional pub layout of vault and lounge bar areas, served by a central bar servery. Each area has relatively small capacity but complemented with a rear courtyard style garden area with six picnic benches in the walled sun trap. Both bar areas have good viewing of TV’s and the Vault Bar has a dartboard. The vault bar is fitted with mainly loose furniture, the lounge bar area is mainly fixed seating and loose tables, to the rear of the pub by the garden entrance there are the Gents and Ladies toilets.

The Thatched Tavern is a true locals pub, catering predominantly for the local customers but also hosting darts teams. The pub boasts a varied product range featuring a great selection of category-leading products, complemented by numerous regular weekly promotions, ensuring customers receive exceptional value for their money. Currently, most entertainment takes place on weekends, but there is ample opportunity for the new operator to expand the entertainment offerings throughout the week. This opportunity is for you to run your pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns take care of all the running costs including rates, utilities, stock and day to day running costs whilst you take home 18.5% of the net weekly sales, all employment costs relating to your staff and any council tax and TV licence for the residential quarters.

Mark Knibbs the Business Development Manager is seeking someone who can bring growth to the sales whilst offering a level of consistency with great standards, an eye for opportunity, focus and drive to grow this business. It would suit both an experienced operator or a motivated relatively new operator to the pub industry. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a passion for the traditional community pub and introduce low level Rhythm of the Week sales drivers to boost early to mid week sales.  Exceptional pub standards and disciplines around stock control and cash management is a must!
