This three storey detached property is located in the market town of Normanton benefiting from the high street shops and amenities that are only a two minute walk away from the pub with Normanton train station close by too. Normanton in West Yorkshire lies five miles from Wakefield and six miles from Pontefract and has a population of approximately 22,000.

Pub Layout

The outlet trades from an open plan trading area. On entering, you are faced with the central bar servery, fully stocked with an extensive range of beverages to suit all tastes, and a raised seating area to the left. To the right of the pub is the bar area with seating for approx 50 people and a pool table and darts area at the back. There are several TV screens on offer throughout the pub, fantastic for watching televised sports. The ladies and gents toilets are located to the rear of the pub. The pub benefits from a 15 space car park to the rear of the building. Also, to the rear of the pub is a quaint courtyard with a decked area created to enhance summer trade.

The Midland Hotel is a town centre pub that is driven by weekend and daytime trade, there is scope to develop the pub further by offering entertainment such as quiz nights and poker nights and also by introducing and supporting pool and darts teams. Friday and Saturday nights are already popular with karaoke and DJs.

This opportunity is for you to run your pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns take care of all the running costs including rates, utilities, stock and day to day running costs whilst you take home 18.5% of the net weekly sales, all employment costs relating to your staff and any council tax and TV licence for the residential quarters.

Applicants must have the right sales focused ideas to maximise sales on an evening and weekend whilst ensuring customers are served in a safe environment. You will need to plan and execute weekly entertainment such as Quiz nights, Bingo, Karaoke and live music and ensure a return is made on your weekly entertainment allowance.
