The Eagle is located in a desirable location in Braintree, just a short walk from Braintree Town centre and 10 miles North-East of Chelmsford and has an estimated population of 43,492 with 15.8k households being within a mile of the pub. Pub Layout

The pub will be beautifully decorated throughout following the investment. Upon entering, you will find an L shaped bar servery which serves all areas of the pub. Throughout there are several areas which have been designed to offer something for everyone, including a games area with pool table and darts boards and TV’s throughout offering Sky Sports. There will also be snug areas for those wanting to enjoy a quieter drink. Externally the garden areas will be extended to offer additional seating and will feature an external TV to the rear.

The Eagle is a true community pub that will benefit from the warmer weather with it’s newly extended beer garden. It will show televised live sports throughout the week on both the internal and external TVs. There is an opportunity to develop sports teams for both pool and darts. The new operator will need to provide a sound base for sports teams and traditional bar games including football, pool, darts, dominoes and quizzes along with a vibrant and varied entertainment program at weekends. This opportunity is for you to run your pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns take care of all the running costs including rates, utilities, stock and day to day running costs whilst you take home 18.5% of the net weekly sales, all employment costs relating to your staff and any council tax and TV licence for the residential quarters.

All new operators have comprehensive free training as part of their agreement.

Nicky Alsop the Business Development Manager is seeking an experienced community and sports-obsessed operator, experience in running a similar venue would be advantageous and applicants must have the right sales-focused ideas to maximise sales before and after games whilst ensuring customers are served in a safe environment. You will need to plan and execute weekly entertainment such as quiz nights, bingo, karaoke and live music and ensure a return is made on your weekly entertainment allowance. The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the local marketplace as well as be community-focused with a good knowledge of sports.
