The Black Lion is a large, detached pub and has a great kerb presence on the busy Broad Lane road which benefits from great passing trade as it has easy access to Leeds city centre, Pudsey and Bradford. Along with being on the main road, the Black Lion Hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Bramley Shopping Centre, and an abundance of chimney pots on the surrounding streets.

Pub Layout

The Black Lion has undergone a £250,000 investment with both internal and external redecoration. After undergoing refurbishment the pub has been revitalized, ensuring that it retains its charm while seamlessly incorporating modern design elements and carefully balancing the space so it feels vibrant and inviting, making it a great community pub. It has various seating options with both loose and fixed, creating distinct areas within the space. The bar is prominent and services all areas with a great product range catering for all, There is an area for live music and well as plenty of screens to watch the televised sports.  To the front and side of the building are good sized external drinking areas, containing a mixture of loose and bench seating, giving a great spot to watch the world go by in the summer months.

 

We believe in fostering a sense of community in all our Proper Pubs To achieve this, we’re looking for an enthusiastic operator who will embrace diversity and consistently deliver top-notch retail standards and a varied rhythm of the week. The vibrant entertainment program will need to ensure there’s something for everyone. The pub has a strong sports focus too with a full pay for view package, we aim to keep the rhythm of the week lively and diverse. Expect an established product range, enticing promotions, and excellent value for our valued customers

Private Accommodation

The private accommodation is located on the first floor of the pub and can be accessed both internally and externally. It has been kept in a good order and is a comfortable size, comprising: three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge.

No rent applicable on this agreement

This opportunity is for you to run your pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns take care of all the running costs including rates, utilities, stock and day to day running costs whilst you take home 18.5% of the net weekly sales, all employment costs relating to your staff and any council tax and TV licence for the residential quarters.

All new operators have comprehensive free training as part of their agreement.

Michelle Ryan, the Business Development Manager is looking for an experienced strong operator who is willing to embed themselves into this community and deliver outstanding results. You will need to be dynamic and have deep passion for exceptional customer service, and a commitment to retail excellence. Your proactive, hands-on approach will shine as you devise and execute a vibrant weekly activity plan that engages the local community on every level. Your previous experience in delivering live entertainment , combined with an understanding of the local marketplace, will be key to your success.
